Subjects taught today:
Language Arts: Read and created questions from The Election 2010 informational newspaper. The race for the Governor's position.
Math: (3rd) Finished lesson 2.8 (4th) Timed tests and challenge packet
Science: The students tested how sound changes using different lengths of string. The predicted what would happen to the pitch and began testing.
Co-curricular class was Eng. Tech

You have mail: Goal setting letter (Set your goals and return the letter by October 29th). Paragraph practice letter

Remaining MEAP schedule:
Tuesday, Oct. 19: Math
Wednesday, Oct. 20: 4th grade Writing
Make-up testing on all other days through Friday, October 29th for kids who were absent on the above days.

Reading
3rd: 20 mins
4th: 30 mins

Attention 4th graders! The Battle of The Books is gearing up again! The launch date for this year’s Battle books is October 25th Are YOU going to do battle this year?

Math
3rd - 10 min fact practice every night. No H.L. Complete your review. Due Wednesday Oct. 20th
3rd Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th –S.L. 3.1 J.page 53-55 Geo museum due Oct 21st

Science
Go to your group's 'Sound' wiki page (It is linked at the side of this blog) At home, each group member should take notes to plan your group's paragraph. The title/prompt is : How Does the Ear Work? There are links to watch to help you answer this question.
Type your notes in a separate column in the organizer (remember- click in the small box. It will stretch as you type in it). You may NOT copy text from another partner. You must write your own idea in each cell. Due Friday October 22nd

Language Arts
Paragraph practice. Please read the entire packet before you begin and give the letter to your parents. Upload your writing to your wiki page by Oct 29th

Spanish
