Subjects taught today:
Language Arts: Informational reading about the candidates running for Governor. TFK magazine
Math: (3rd) Data collection about Halloween candy. Measurement continued (4th) Lesson 3.8
Social Studies: Began Government unit. Learning about the Three Branches and tomorrow’s Midterm Election day.
Co-curricular class is Eng. Tech.

Parent/Teacher conferences are Wednesday Nov 17 (5pm -8pm) and Thursday Nov 18 (1 – 4pm and 5- 8 pm) Thursday Nov. 18 is a half day for students.

The conference sign-up sheets are now posted outside the classroom door. Please sign up for a conference time. Or, email me with your preferred day and ‘top three’ times and I will sign up for you :)

All October book orders were delivered to the students. Some students are still waiting for their 'Pre-order' edition of Diary of a Wimpy Kid

SRB read page 129-131 Complete the questions on page 131 (write your answers on the back of HL 3.2)

Go to Frequently Visited Places
Click on thatquiz.org (for 3rd grade math students)
Click on your name and use your school password to log in and take the assigned tests.

3rd Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th Grade
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 50 addition/50 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 100 division/ multiplication facts in 5 mins

4th – S.L. 3.8 Finshed or unfinished review is due 11/3 Tests is Monday Nov 8th

Social Studies
Complete the State Government chart. Due Wednesday Nov 3rd. If you need some help please view the information on the links found on our class wiki page under Social studies and Government.
