Subjects taught today:
Language Arts: Began reading Sing to the StarsMath: (3rd) Measurement and Perimeter (4th) Corrected the review
Social Studies: Continued with Government unit.
Student imputed their goal for the year on Moodle
Co-curricular classes are P.E and Eng. Tech.

Parent/Teacher conferences are Wednesday Nov 17 (5pm -8pm) and Thursday Nov 18 (1 – 4pm and 5- 8 pm) (Thursday Nov. 18 is a half day for students.) The conference sign-up sheets are now posted outside the classroom door. Please sign up for a conference time. Or, email me with your day and ‘top three’ times and I will sign up for you :)

All October book orders were delivered to the students. Some students are waiting until Nov 9th for their 'Pre-ordered' edition of Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Go to Frequently Visited Places
Click on thatquiz.org (for 3rd grade math students)
Click on your name and use your school password to log in and take the assigned tests.

3rd Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th Grade
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 50 addition/50 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 100 division/ multiplication facts in 5 mins

4th – S.L. 3.10 Finished or unfinished review is due 11/3
(extra credit for signatures on the review) Tests is Monday Nov 8th

Science: None

Social Studies:
Election extra credit (Go to the Polls assignment) was due today
Who are your State leaders? Worksheet was due today. If you’re unsure of who your leaders are, please use the wiki (Social Studies – Government) links to help you find out

Dates to remember
This is the last week of P.E. (Wednesday and Friday – 1:35pm -2:20pm)
Cranbrook fieldtrip Nov 12th Bring a bag/sandwich box lunch that is easy to identify and won’t be squashed. The staff at Cranbrook will take the lunches from us and store them in bins until lunchtime.

The chaperones for this trip are: Mr. Curran, Mrs. Diehl, Mrs. Sherman (Kohl), Mrs. Henricks, Mrs. Erne, Mrs. Schiller, Mrs. Hanley and Mrs. Krause. If any of our chaperones have a conflict in their schedule, please let me know. We have two ‘alternates’ who can chaperone in your place. Thank you
