Subjects taught today:
Language Arts: Listened to the two text comparison stories
Math: (3rd) recieved their unit 3 review (4th) None
Social Studies: Continued with Government unit.
Co-curricular class was swimming

Thank you so much to the chaperones who joined us at Cranbrook today. The students learned a great deal from the presentations. They were both enriching (sound) and served as a great 'taster' of what we will be studying later on in the year (Electricity and Magnetism). The students also got to enjoy the travelling Dino exhibit. It was a great trip!


Mail: Scholastic book orders magazine (This is for the book fair that is set up in the media center during conferences) A couple of other flyers for sports activities.
Parent/Teacher conferences are Wednesday Nov 17 (5pm -8pm) and Thursday Nov 18 (1 – 4pm and 5- 8 pm) (Thursday Nov. 18 is a half day for students.) The conference sign-up sheets are now posted outside the classroom door. Please sign up for a conference time. Or, email me with your day and ‘top three’ times and I will sign up for you.

Click on thatquiz.org (for 3rd grade math students)
Click on your name and use your school password to log in and take the assigned tests.

3rd Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 50 addition/50 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 100 division/ multiplication facts in 5 mins
