Social Studies: Michigan

Mail: Check you blue folder mail or work to keep at home or sign and return

• Spelling due tomorrow, 12/14. Don’t forget to log in so that it registers.

Book orders:
Holiday Gift orders were submitted
For easier ordering, please click on the book clubs link (see right side of blog) and register. Create your own username and password. Enter our classroom code: GKQKW and pay for your order online. You can then use this username and password for all future orders. The books will usually arrive approximately 1 week after the due date. Have fun shopping!

Reading:
3rd: 20 mins
4th: 30 mins
Parents, please initial at the bottom of each day’s planner entry, so that I know your child is completing their nightly required reading.

Spelling: Please have a parent read and sign the spelling letter. Show your parent your list of spelling words. Start to learn the pattern/list of words by using spellingcity.com (see link on frequently visited sites) Homework/signed letter is due Wednesday Dec 14th You will take your test IN SCHOOL on Wednesday December 14th
Progress Check: have your homework paper ready to turn in tomorrow.

Language Arts: None

Math:
4th Math: No S.L. No J. Pages Math Worksheet due Thursday.
IXL 30 mins twice a week.(or 1 hour each week)

3rd Math – H. L 5.1
NB: Starting with Unit 5 there will be points/credit given for turning in a completed and signed review by the test date.
Please keep your Home Link book inside your binder!
Multiplication fact practice: 5 mins every night! Check out the measurement movie on the math wiki
Thatquiz: None
IXL: Practice any skills for 15mins. Twice a week (minimum of 30 mins each week)

3rd Grade End of Year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade End of Year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 50 addition/50 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 100 division/ multiplication facts in 5 mins

Science: None Thank you to the volunteers who emailed to say they could cut bottles. All the bottles are now going to be cut and ready for the next science unit!
Social Studies: None
Vocabulary paper: Please take a look over this list of words relating to our Communities unit and begin defining and explaining the words to a parent.
