MEAP testing starts Tuesday 10/9 –Thursday 10/11 (next week)
And the following week - Tues 10/16 -Wed 10/17
Parents - Please avoid making appointments for your children during the testing window.
Students: 
*Go to bed early the night before your tests,
*Eat a good breakfast before school and
*Bring plenty of snacks to eat
***You will be testing in the AM and PM on Tuesday and Thursday next week.***

P.E. started Friday 10/5…Remember your Gym shoes!
P.E is on Mondays (12:15) and Fridays (8:35am)

Subjects taught today:
Language Arts – Reader’s workshop (making reading connections with the text)
Math – Unit 2
Co curricular class: P.E and Eng. Tech
Social Studies – None

Here is what we have for you today:
Language Arts: Continue with your Razz Kids reading. Teacher username is lparkina
Read at least 20 minutes (3rd graders) or 30 minutes (4th graders) after school each day. (Remember; Raz-Kids reading can be used for this time)

3rd Grade Math:
H.L 2.1 J. pg 30 and 31
Thatquiz.org – Due Friday 10/12  Complete the timed tests (Addition #2 Subtraction#2 and Multiplication #1 ) that have been assigned you to.
·         To get to thatquiz.org  click on the link under Frequently Visited Places:
·         Click on your name
·         Type in your school password (no username needed)
·         Position one hand over the numbers on your keyboard and the other hand to click Enter or Submit with the mouse.
Also, try setting up your own practice quizzes on thatquiz.org. You do not log in to set up practice quizzes. Just click the area you would like to study and click on the no. of questions/level/timing settings you want to try.

 IXL practice for 10 mins by Friday.Work in the Time section for 3rd grade. If that is complete 10 mins free choice in any section
·         Remember to keep your Home link book and your Math Journal in your zipper binder. Bring them both to school each day.
·         Remember to leave your student reference book (SRB) at home. You are borrowing this book for the year and should refer to it when needed.

4th Grade Math:
No S.L J.pgs. Worksheet 2.6 due Monday
Math Geo-poster presentations started today
Review for Unit 2 due Monday. Test is Friday
