Note to 4th grade parents: Mr. Wallington will provide math information for me to pass on to parents during our conference time.
Subjects taught today:
Language Arts – Spelling inventories were given today
Rising Stars Theatre Group performed "Stuart Little"
Math – Measurement
Co curricular class: Spanish
Social Studies – Northeast 

Here is what we have for you today:
Language Arts:
Read at least 20 minutes (3rd graders) or 30 minutes (4th graders) after school each day. Raz-Kids reading can be used for this time. Raz-Kids reading teacher username is lparkina

3rd Grade Math:
No H.L  J. page 65
Fact practice – 5 mins each night. Choose a focused fact set (e.g. the 7 x tables up to 12x7)
Thatquiz - None
IXL - 10 mins in 3rd grade section (Focus on multiplication section) by Sunday. If these sections are complete (to Mastery level) 10 mins free choice in any section

Go to Quizstar and review your unit 2 post-test math assessment online
1. Login using your user name and password
2. Review post-test unit 2

Electronic Math
-To get to thatquiz.org click on the link under the Math link (right hand side of blog)
-Click on your name
-Type in your school password (no username needed)
-Position one hand over the numbers on your keyboard and the other hand to click Enter or Submit with the mouse.
You can set up your own practice quizzes on thatquiz.org. You do not log in to set up practice quizzes. Just click the area you would like to study. Click on the no. of question, the level, the timing settings you want to test, and click create

4th Grade Math: No S.L or J.pages

Social Studies: Learning the States and Capitals of the Northeast region – study guide.
Test is TOMORROW 11/9

Engage: (Optional) Create/Update your Portfolio page. Don’t forget to log in before you edit your page.

Please note: There was an error on the top part of the permission slip that went home. The date for Parkin/Wallington to Lansing is THURSDAY NOVEMBER 29th. Mrs. Rifkin has this information correct on her sign-up sheet. My apologies for the confusion!
The chaperones are Mrs. Chisholm, Ms. Moran, Mrs. Rifkin, Mrs. Roskiewicz, Mr. Beard, Mr. Martin, Mrs. Glime and Mrs. Liddell. If you have a conflict in your schedule please let Mrs. Rifkin know so that she can notify the alternate volunteers. Thanks so much!

There are various magazines available to order from.

Important Reminders:
• School starts at 8:20am. Students should be in their homeroom seat by this time.
• Please bring 3 sharp pencils to class every day.
• Bring a water bottle and two healthy snacks every day.
• Bring a chapter book every day.
