1 *Forgotten Harvest in Oak Park on Thursday 1/31 (8:30am-11:30am). Return permission slips by 1/23

Here is what we have for you today:
Language Arts:
Reading to Waikiki incentive has begun. Make sure you have shown your letter to your parent. We need to travel 4,500 miles to reach the beautiful island of Waikiki.
-          4th graders need to read 150 mins to travel 100 miles.
-          3rd graders need to read 100 mins to travel 100 miles.
The dates we will collect your signed reading coupons are: Tuesday 1/22, Monday 1/28, Mon 2/4 and finally, Fri 2/8.

Read at least 20 minutes (3rd graders) or 30 minutes (4th graders) after school each day. Raz-Kids reading can be used for this time. Raz-Kids reading teacher username is lparkina

Spelling: Spellingcity.com homework was due today. Test was taken in class.
Please show your parent your result by going to My Records on your Spellingcity account.
If you made 5 or more errors on your test today, you have a printout that needs to be signed by your parent. Please return it to school tomorrow.

·         H.L 6.1
·         Unit 5 Post Test results on Quizstar (student login)
·         Fact practice – 5 mins each night. Focus on all x tables 0-9.
·         Thatquiz –Multiplication (x6) overdue (x7) due 1/25
·         IXL - 15 mins each week by Sunday. Click on 3rd grade. Decimals Section. If this sections are complete (to Mastery level) free choice in any section

2. Review Post-test Unit 5

Electronic Math
-To get to thatquiz.org click on the link under the Math link (right hand side of blog)
-Click on your name
-Type in your school password (no username needed)
-Position one hand over the numbers on your keyboard and the other hand to click Enter or Submit with the mouse.
You can set up your own practice quizzes on thatquiz.org. You do not log in to set up practice quizzes. Just click the area you would like to study. Click on the no. of question, the level, the timing settings you want to test, and click create
