Student Led conferences are approaching; Wednesday March 20 and Thursday March 21st
Due to the overlapping nature of these conferences, timeslots start every 10 mins and are 40 mins long. First conference is 1:00pm and the last conference is 7:20pm (both days)
If you cannot get into school to sign up for a time, please feel free to email me a day and time and I will sign up for you.

Here is what we have for you today:
Language Arts: Read at least 20 minutes (3rd graders) or 30 minutes (4th graders) after school each day. Raz-Kids reading can be used for this time. Raz-Kids reading teacher username is lparkina
Check out the link to the Dr. Seuss site we used in class today to write our ‘Seussical’ story/character poems. Have fun exploring this site!
Paragraph practice: Bugs and Insects due 3/11/13
Spelling: Homework and Test is 3/8/13
Spellingcity directions:
Login with your school username and password.
Do not click “Hide my password”
Click on teacher’s homepage and read the intro. from Mrs. P.
Scroll to bottom of page to locate your spelling list code. Click on your code.
Click Games and Complete 5 mandatory game activities and 2 optional activities from the list on your spelling letter. Check off the activities as you complete them.
Make sure you use all the words in your spelling list when you play each game. The games will not register if you do not use all your spelling words.
Turn in the spelling letter by the due date. Don’t forget -You will need your ear buds or headphones for testing in class.
3rd Grade Math:
· No H.L. Complete Jpg 158 and 159 in your Vol. 2 Math Journal
· Optional extra credit – 3-D Castle Building assignment due 3/8/13
· Fact practice – 5 mins each night.
· Thatquiz – Check that you do not have overdue quizzes. A email with links of overdue quizzes have been sent to your school email address
(Money (coins) and Decimal identification #1 was due 2/15 (Any overdue quizzes must be completed during lunch time.)
· IXL - 15 mins each week by Sunday. Click on 3rd grade. Geometry. If this sections are complete (to Mastery level) free choice in any section
Go to Quizstar and review your Unit 6 post-test math assessment online

-To get to thatquiz.org click on the link under the Math link (right hand side of blog)
-Click on your name
-Type in your school password (no username needed)
-Position one hand over the numbers on your keyboard and the other hand to click Enter or Submit with the mouse.
You can set up your own practice quizzes on thatquiz.org. You do not log in to set up practice quizzes. Just click the area you would like to study. Click on the no. of question, the level, the timing settings you want to test, and click create
