BCS Character Ed Word of the Week: Flexibility
Is there only one way to accomplish a goal? No! - We can work together much more successfully and positively if we try to be flexible in our thinking and approach to problem solving. Can you think of times when being flexible helped you understand or learn something in a different way? Are you able to work flexibly so that everyone feels included and empowered? How does it feel to work in a flexible team? What steps have you taken to improve your flexibility during collaboration and teamwork?
Lets RAK em’ UP! (RAK - stands for Random Acts of Kindness) We will be keeping track of these acts by the passing on of our class RAK bracelet.

FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS
Food allergy is a growing public health issue that impacts almost every school across the United States. Nearly 6 million children in the U.S. – which equates to 1 in 13, or roughly 2 in every classroom – have a food allergy. Studies indicate that 16-18% of school-age children who have food allergies have had a reaction in school. In addition, in approximately 25% of the reactions that occur at school, the student had not yet been diagnosed with food allergy. Help your child BE A PAL (protect a life) TO A FRIEND WITH A FOOD ALLERGY! Click here for details or at the following link: http://www.foodallergy.org/document.doc?id=118
