BCS Character Ed Word of the Week: Respect

Lets RAK em’ UP! (RAK - stands for Random Acts of Kindness) We will be keeping track of these acts by the passing on of our class RAK bracelet.
Reminders:
• School starts at 8:18am Students should be in their homeroom seat by this time.
• Have 3 sharp pencils every day.
• Bring a water bottle and two healthy snacks every day.
• Bring a chapter book every day.
Scholastic Book Ordering: September books orders were submitted and should arrive in approximately 1 week.
If you would like to continue to browse and order, all magazines/flyers are available to view online. Click on the book orders link at the side of the blog. Create your own username and password to login. Our class code for ordering is GKQKW. Use the class code to access our ordering page. All flyers are available to view and order from any month.
Language Arts:
Reading 3rd: Read 20 mins daily
Reading 4th: Read 30 mins daily
Parents - Please sign at the bottom of today's planner entry (completed by your child in class) to show that your child has done their required reading.
The 5 Word Planner Challenge is due 9/22. The following words can be found on the bottom of pages 17-25 in the planner: Elegant, Heroic, Event, Intelligent and Gigantic. Use the unfilled August pages in your planner to write each word's definition, part of speech (Noun Adjective or verb) Put it in a sentence and write a synonym for each word.
4th Grade Math: None
3rd Grade Math: No new Homework
Xtramath.com - 4 times per week. Complete a full work session, which lasts about 5-10 mins (until Mr. C says you are done!)
Due tomorrow - H & R (Homework and Remembering) 1-4 on pages 13 & 14 (Complete BOTH sides of the page. Found in the Homework book - Not the Math Journal book)
Please note - Page 11 and 12 also say Homework 1-4, but you do not need to complete these for homework. These types of pages are for optional, additional fact practice. You could use these pages to test yourself with how fast your fact recall is, or just to do some extra practice at home.
