Wow! the week flew by! Well done to everyone for being great buddies and helping with new procedures. Continue to look through your blue folder each night get your planner signed for your nightly reading.
The submission date for book orders is 9/15/17. Please follow the directions for book ordering (below) if you see something you would like to buy. After I submit the orders, the books should arrive approximately 1 week later.
If you have not already done so, please remember to bring in a chapter book next week. Or, if you found a good book to read from our classroom library, feel free to continue to read that!
BCS Character Ed Word of the Week: Kindness

Reminders:
After the 8:10 am bell First bell to go to your locker and unpack your things. If you arrive at school before 8:10 am, please go to the cafeteria and wait for the bell.
• School starts at 8:18am Students should be in their homeroom seat by this time.
• Have 3 sharp pencils every day.
• Bring a water bottle and two healthy snacks every day.
• Bring a chapter book every day.
Scholastic Book Ordering: Due by 9/15 (Thursday)
If you would like to browse and order all magazines/flyers are available to view online. Click on the book orders link at the side of the blog. Create your own username and password to login. Our class code for ordering is GKQKW. Use the class code to access our ordering page. All flyers are available to view and order from any month.
Language Arts:
Reading 3rd: Read 20 mins daily
Reading 4th: Read 30 mins daily
Parents - Please sign at the bottom of today's planner entry (completed in class) to show that your child has done their required reading.
Some students need to finish their My Life In Apps posters.
Writer's Notebook (due 9/14) Decorate the front and back of your Writer's Notebook. Please read the directions on the letter. Each student received a notebook to decorate. Due 9/14 (next Thursday)
Math: Well done with your designs and presentations of your math games (The required activity in the Summer Packet) we started to play them today and will continue next week!
3rd - Some students still need to finish the Figure Me Out poster. Ask a parent to check it over with you. Then, add some color
