Thank you all so much for the very generous "bouquet of gift cards" that I received today from the class. It was so creative and I feel very spoiled! I am so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such thoughtful students and their families and I appreciate all of your kindness.
I will be out of the classroom next week. I am heading back to the UK to spend the holidays with my family. Mrs.Taylor will be covering for me. She is very familiar with how our classroom is run and she is looking forward to seeing the students. I know they are in good hands! Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxing, fun and happy Holiday! Thank you all so much for the donated toys benefiting the Pediatric Department at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.The toys will be delivered at 3:30 pm today. These items will be used in the holiday shop, prizes for pokes and medical procedures, birthday and end of chemotherapy celebrations.
During the Holiday party, next Friday, the students in each class will have a chance to write a Holiday card to a pediatric patient. The students can decorate or write as he/she wishes.
Also, each classroom will make a Gingerbread chain that will be hung in the pediatric Department. These 8 chains will help brighten the hallways for the children.

Talent show forms were due today. The student leadership team are planning a talent show event. Interested students should have completed the form and returned it to Snr. Leibson today.

Your child will know their spelling sort: Within Word (WW) sort 12, Syllables & Affixes (SA) sort 11 or sort 19, Derivational Relations (DR) sort 3 or sort 17. They wrote their sort on their Word Study paper (at the top.)
Homework: Complete 6 activities on Spellingcity.com and return the signed spelling letter on Monday 1/8/18. Please read the letter and follow the directions. Locate your list on spellingcity.com by clicking the red drop down arrow for your spelling sort code. Play the games under the tabs to help you learn the spelling patterns for these words. You can check which word study activities you have completed by clicking on ‘My Records’ after you log in. Remember – DO NOT click S-test on spellingcity.org. Save that button for the day of your test.
