We are very excited to announce that all 3/4 classrooms will again to taking part in a project benefiting the Pediatric Department at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

All Next week:  The student are invited to bring in 1 of the following UNWRAPPED gifts anytime next week!

Beaumont is putting a holiday shop together for the kids to choose an item and they need toys ahead of time.  The toys will be delivered at 3:30 on Friday 12/15.  Please bring the unwrapped item to your classroom and they will be collected on 12/15. These items will be used in the holiday shop, prizes for pokes and medical procedures, birthday and end of chemotherapy celebrations.  The department has said that they are running low on kids play medical kits, which are a hit.

Other recommendations from the department are:
New Baby Board Books
Polar fleece no sew blankets
Paint Brushes
Large sheets of art paper
Wooden and ceramic paint kits
Xbox 360 games (new or used)
DVDs (newer titles; new or used)
Craft projects
UNO cards

Silly Straws
Bubbles (used for distraction)
Latex-free Nexcare character band-aids

During the Holiday party: The students in each class will have a chance to write a Holiday card to a pediatric patient.  The student can decorate or write as he/she wishes.

During the holiday party: Each classroom will make a Gingerbread chain that will be hung in the pediatric Department.  These 8 chains will help brighten the hallways for the children.
