                Help Is Needed for the 3rd/4th End of Year Party!

Monday June, 2nd - Friday June, 6th

The fourth graders received a flyer with information about a 5th/6th grade field trip to Williamsburg for the next school year. The flyer has information for a virtual parent information meeting as well.

Student Chromebooks: If a student does not have a device to use at home and needs their school Chromebook to complete iReady or Xtramath practice, they may take it home and return it to school the next day. Thank you for signing and turning in all the Acceptable Use Policy Agreements.


Homework:
Reading
3rd graders - Read 20 mins (minimum) each night
4th graders - Read 30 mins (minimum) each night
Bring in a chapter book to read in class. 

Spelling
There are no more spelling tests this year! 
JUST FOR FUN - We have selected a list of 20 words that are spelled differently in England! We'll have a "just for fun spelling test next week - Monday, 6/9
All the word lists were written in your child's planner. To see how your child is did on all spelling tests. Have them log in to PowerSpelling.com and click 'Results'

3rd Graders: 
Xtramath 3 times per week Complete 1 session (about 5-7 mins -Click "continue" until Mr. C says, "You're done!")
iReady 30 mins minimum per week. Make sure you are completing Teacher Assigned or My Path Math lessons.

Login to ClassLink - click the iReady App - Click Math My Path
To access Xtramath:
Account setup directions were sent home on the XtraMath flyer.
- Type XtraMath into your browser (bookmark this site)
- Login with your 4-digit PIN (the last four numbers on your account number)
- Complete 1 session (about 5-7 mins - Click "continue" until Mr. C says, "You're done!"
4th Graders - Test tomorrow - Unit 7

Social Studies
Talk about homework: Explain the following economic terms: Scarcity, goods, services, opportunity cost, resources, bartering, and consumption.
Previous Talk About Topics:
Explain the topic of your Public Policy Issue (poster design)
- What are the 3 branches of Government
- What are the levels of government, and what responsibility do they have?
What place did you choose that you'd like to visit in the Midwest, Southwest, and West?
What place did you choose that you'd like to visit in the Midwest?
- Name 3-5 states in the Southeast
-Tell 3 facts from our Northeast tour
- Describe the contributions of one of the following groups that settled in America:
Indian Americans, Latinos, European Americans, Asian Americans, or African Americans. 

Science
Talk About Homework: None
You do not need to write anything for this type of homework.
