Science: We continued our study of Sound. The students worked in their science groups to explore how the length of a ruler affects sound. Ask your child what they learned about The Elephant’s Rumble.

3rd Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

Language Arts
You should have finished drafting and editing your paragraphs for the “Me You See” paper. We will be writing the final paper in class
*Identify any spelling errors by circling them in a colored pencil.
*Use a different color to identify punctuation errors (capital letters, periods, question marks etc)
*Make sure you have not missed word out and that your sentences are clear and easy to understand.
*Finally, check to see if there are any words that you could change to add more interest or make the
paragraph sound more ‘polished.’
