Subjects taught today:

Language Arts: Finished presenting the Summer projects. Great job everyone! You all demonstrated how much you've learned about bugs!
Math: (3rd) End of Unit 1 Assessment (4th) Lesson 2.4 and 2.5
Science: The students experienced two onsite presentations by the experts at Cranbrook SWcience Museum today. One presentation focused on Economics and  the history of money. The other focused on the Scientific Method. Ask your child to tell you what they learned from these presentations. Some words they might mention are: Trade routes, first coins, 'paper' money, goods and services, consumers and retailers. Also; Questions,  hypothesis, research, data collection, analysis, conclusions.

Go to Frequently Visited Places
Click on thatquiz.org (for 3rd grade math students)
Click on your name and use your school password to log in and take the assigned tests.

3rd Grade End of year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th – S.L 2.4 and 2.5 J.pg 33 (Q4 and Q5)

Language Arts
Due today:
Finished edited draft of the “Me You See” paper.
*Identify any spelling errors by circling them in a colored pencil.
*Use a different color to identify punctuation errors (capital letters, periods, question marks etc)
*Make sure you have not missed word out and that your sentences are clear and easy to understand.
*Finally, check to see if there are any words that you could change to add more interest or make the
paragraph sound more ‘polished.’
