What a fantastic first day! We are off to a great start!
Today, we spent some time getting to know each other (and our buddy partners). The students learned new procedures and attended a 3/4 town meeting with Mr. Morawski and Mr. Hill to learn more about our school wide theme of Empathy.
If you have not read the community read book that was mailed out to families at the start of summer break - Save Me A Seat by Sarah weeks and Gita Varadarajan, please make sure you do so this week. Make it your 20/30 mins per night required reading! Or, listen to it (for free) as an audio book using the download, Hoopla. This book has our theme of empathy embedded in it. It's an enjoyable read too!
Each student took home their planner inside their zipper 'trapper' today. Parents, please initial the bottom of today's column to verify that your child completed their reading.
Some students have 4 questions to write to ask their buddy partner in an interview tomorrow. Please check your worksheet to make sure it is complete and return it to school tomorrow.
The Teacher Comes Clean worksheet can stay at home.
