The students will decorate a collection bag, swap their valentines and enjoy a cookie with water. Thank you in advance to our parent volunteers who signed up to supply the cookie/treats, the paper products and water for the day.
ATTENTION ALL 3RD-8TH GRADE FAMILIES! The 3/4 Team just celebrated our shared love of reading at our Read to Waikiki Party, and together we now give from our hearts in our “SURF’S UP FOR HEALTHY SNACKS” FOOD DRIVE. Our community service learning food drive, which continues our school-wide efforts to fight hunger locally, is now underway and will run through Valentine’s Day. This food drive will benefit Detroit City Mission as they strive to improve the lives of our inner city youth. Please donate items from the City Mission Wish List by Monday, February 14th. A list of items went home with each child last week and can also be found on the BCS website: www.bcsonline.info (click on Parent Resources tab and scroll down to BCS and Beyond). Collection boxes are located in the 3/4 alcove in the main hallway. Our goal is 1,500 healthy snack items, so please donate as many items as you are able!
